Holding that position helps you tap into the details locked away in the emotional part of your brain. As you become aware, Traci guides the process, helping you work through your emotions and heal from the trauma.
During EMDR, you focus on a memory from your trauma while also moving your eyes. Eye movement connects with the emotional areas of your brain, allowing you to recall subconscious memories and talk them through.
